I am an education campaigner, first and foremost, and also a member of the Lib Dems, having stood as a prospective candidate at the last General Election.  Equality of opportunity for all underpins all my campaigning, and I am completely staggered at the absence of this mantra from much of what the current Department of Education is doing.  You will read a lot about schools, and FE, on the blog, but there will be other policy blogs as well as the mood takes me……
